The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) granted the registration to Neuracle Medical Technology (Shanghai) for its implantable BCI hand motor function compensation system. This approval positions China at the forefront of the commercial neuro-rehabilitation supply chain, establishing a clear regulatory pathway for invasive neural implants that global competitors have struggled to navigate. The newly approved system bypasses traditional external sensors by utilizing a minimally invasive epidural implantation technique combined with wireless power and communication technologies. Targeting Spinal Injuries Unlocks Niche Rehabilitation Markets

The commercial rollout specifically targets a highly defined demographic: quadriplegic patients aged 18 to 60 suffering from C2 to C6 cervical spinal cord injuries. To qualify for the implant, patients must hold an A to C injury grading, possess a confirmed diagnosis for over a year, and demonstrate condition stability for at least six months following standard treatments.

By narrowing the initial commercial scope to patients who retain partial upper arm function but lack hand grip capabilities, Neuracle creates a high-probability commercialization strategy.
