Unitree Robotics Launches First Wheeled Humanoid Robot with Full-Stack AI Training Solution
Unitree Robotics has unveiled a comprehensive data collection and training platform built around its first wheeled humanoid robot, the G1-D. The solution integrates a high-performance robotic platform with systematic data collection tools and model training capabilities, targeting industrial, commercial, and household applications.
The G1-D stands between 1,260mm and 1,680mm tall and features stereo cameras in its head and high-definition cameras on its wrists. Available in standard and flagship versions, the robot offers 17 and 19 degrees of freedom respectively, excluding end-effectors. Each arm provides seven degrees of freedom with a maximum payload of approximately 3kg per arm.
The flagship version includes an optional mobile base capable of speeds up to 1.5 meters per second with 360-degree rotation capability. Battery life extends to about two hours for the standard version and six hours for the flagship model.
The robot's wheeled design combined with a lifting mechanism enables a vertical working range from zero to two meters. The torso joint offers Z-axis rotation of ±155 degrees and Y-axis movement from -2.5 to +135 degrees. Control responsiveness features low latency, with lifting precision of ±0.5mm, gripper precision of ±0.1mm, teleoperation latency under 100 milliseconds, and data collection frequency of 60Hz.
The platform provides end-to-end data management, encompassing collection, processing, labeling, verification, and asset management. It supports simultaneous data collection from hundreds of robots operating around the clock, with output compatibility for mainstream training formats.
For model development, the solution integrates open-source frameworks including PI and GROOT, features built-in community datasets, and includes a high-fidelity 3D asset library for comprehensive testing scenarios. Developers can utilize one-click training functions and integrated simulation tools for rapid model deployment and evaluation.
This marks Unitree's third general-purpose humanoid application, following the G1-Comp soccer robot for competitions and a boxing-focused platform. Target use cases include front desk reception, shelf organization, household tasks, and industrial inspection.
The launch reflects growing momentum in China's humanoid robotics sector as companies develop practical applications for commercial deployment in 2025.
