Honor 500 Pro Reportedly to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip and 200MP Camera
A recent report has revealed key specifications for the upcoming Honor 500 Pro smartphone, suggesting the device will be equipped with Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 200-megapixel main camera, signaling a significant performance upgrade for the product line.
According to a tech media report published on October 4, 2025, which cited information from an online leakster, the new device from Honor Device is poised for a substantial enhancement over its predecessor.
The most notable rumored upgrade is the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This 3nm processor is expected to deliver considerable performance gains compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip used in the current Honor 400 Pro. The report highlighted benchmark data suggesting the new chipset could offer up to 75% faster CPU performance and a 59% improvement in graphics scores.
While the 200MP main camera resolution appears unchanged from the previous model, the leak also points to potential design modifications. The Honor 500 Pro is said to feature a 6.6-inch flat display with highly rounded corners. This has led to speculation that Honor may be moving away from its long-running asymmetrical design aesthetic, although these details remain unconfirmed.
Specifications for the standard Honor 500 model have not yet been disclosed. The company has not officially commented on the leaked information.
If the reports are accurate, the Honor 500 Pro could strengthen the company's position in the competitive high-performance smartphone market. The device is widely expected to be officially launched by the end of 2025, consistent with the brand's annual product release cycle.
