Honor to Unveil 500 Series Smartphones on November 24 with New Product Strategy

Honor has officially announced that its latest smartphone lineup, the Honor 500 series, will debut on November 24, 2025. The upcoming launch aims to address current market stratification strategies by significantly upgrading the specifications of base models.

Fang Fei, President of the Honor Product Line, disclosed details regarding the company’s refined market approach. According to Fang, the industry has seen a trend where "standard" versions of flagship phones increasingly resemble entry-level devices, compelling consumers to purchase "Pro" models for a satisfactory experience. To counter this, the Honor 500 series will adopt a "Double Super" strategy designed to break these "unspoken rules" of product tiering.

Under this new directive, the company intends to position the standard Honor 500 as a "Super Standard" device that offers a comprehensive, high-end experience often reserved for Pro models in competing lineups. Meanwhile, the Honor 500 Pro acts as a "Super Pro" version, targeting users requiring advanced technological specifications.

Market reports indicate the series will include significant hardware upgrades. In terms of design, the devices are expected to feature a new horizontal "race track" camera module and a large R-angle straight screen. Processing power will likely be split, with the standard model incorporating the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, while the Pro version is expected to utilize the 5th Generation Snapdragon 8 Ultimate mobile platform.

Imaging capabilities remain a core focus following the photography-centric Honor 400 series launched in May 2025. The new devices are expected to feature a 200-megapixel main camera equipped with AiMAGE algorithms as a standard configuration. The Pro model is reported to include an additional 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens to support high-magnification optical zoom.

Furthermore, leaks suggest the series will prioritize battery life, potentially integrating an 8,000mAh battery across the board with support for 80W wired fast charging. The Pro model may also support 50W wireless charging. The devices have reportedly secured necessary network access licenses.
