AI Home Robotics Firm OneRobotics Launches Hong Kong IPO, Secures Over HK$700 Million in Cornerstone Investment

OneRobotics commenced its initial public offering in Hong Kong today, marking a significant milestone as the company positions itself to become the world's first publicly traded AI-powered household robotics firm. The offering runs through December 23, with trading under stock code "6600" set to begin on December 30 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's main board.

The company has secured approximately US$90 million (over HK$700 million) from seven cornerstone investors, with GL Ventures leading the investment at US$30 million; other major investors include Cithara at US$20 million, Infini Capital at US$15 million, and China Orient Asset Management at US$10 million, while Wind Sabre, Yield Royal Investment, and Ruizhi Capital each committed approximately US$5 million. OneRobotics plans to offer 22.22 million H-shares, with a price range of HK$63 to HK$81 per share. At the top end of the range, the company would achieve a market capitalization of up to HK$18 billion (US$2.3 billion) and raise approximately HK$1.8 billion (US$231 million) in gross proceeds.

According to Frost & Sullivan, OneRobotics held an 11.9% market share in the global AI-powered household robotics systems market by 2024 retail value, making it the world's largest provider in the sector. The company is the only firm globally to offer a comprehensive suite of AI-powered household robotics systems that enable intelligent interconnection across multiple products within its ecosystem.

Product Innovation and Market Recognition

OneRobotics has launched several groundbreaking products in 2025 that have garnered international attention. Its AI tennis robot Acemate became the only sports robot to be named to Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2025 list. The product exceeded its crowdfunding target by 76 times, raising over US$2.1 million in total commitments overseas.

Acemate utilizes AI algorithms for autonomous decision-making, enabling precise ball reception, return, and rally capabilities that simulate human-level play. The robot addresses the growing demand for solo training solutions in recreational tennis. The company's Kata Friends, launched in September at IFA Berlin, won two official innovation awards: "Best in IFA Next" and "Best in Emerging Tech." Positioned as the world's first locally-deployed large language model AI companion robot, Kata Friends serves as a pet alternative for families seeking emotional companionship without the responsibilities of live animal care.

The robot employs a multimodal perception system combining visual recognition, audio processing, and tactile sensors, powered by an embedded large language model and emotional interaction engine.

OneRobotics plans to introduce its first humanoid household robot, H1, in January 2026. The humanoid assistant integrates AI machine vision, robot positioning, and environment modeling technologies to handle complex household tasks that existing systems cannot effectively manage, including clothing organization, post-meal cleanup, and meal preparation assistance.

Technology Development and Investment Strategy

The company intends to allocate approximately 66.5% of net proceeds from the IPO—exceeding HK$1 billion (US$128 million)—toward enhancing research and development capabilities. Core focus areas include strengthening robot positioning technology, AI machine vision control technology, edge computing capabilities, and developing humanoid household robots based on Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models.

OneRobotics is constructing a specialized robotics data collection facility dedicated to iterating and optimizing VLA models, aiming to improve the generalization capabilities and versatility of humanoid robots. The company's product portfolio comprises enhanced execution robots and perception-decision systems applicable across eight household scenarios: sports training, emotional companionship, intelligent control, household chores, smart home management, elderly care, security protection, and energy management.

The company's AI-powered household robotics systems integrate artificial intelligence and robotics technologies to enable autonomous learning and intelligent decision-making. The systems mimic human behavioral characteristics—hands, feet, eyes, skin, and brain—through a decision-making intelligence hub that enables real-time environmental perception, multi-device coordination, and edge intelligence processing.

Financial Performance and Profitability

OneRobotics demonstrated strong revenue growth, with sales increasing from RMB 275 million (US$38 million) in 2022 to RMB 610 million (US$84 million) in 2024, representing a compound annual growth rate of 49%. Revenue in the first half of 2025 reached RMB 396 million (US$55 million), up more than 44% year-over-year.

Gross profit margins showed consistent expansion, rising from 34.3% in 2022 to 54.2% in the first half of 2025. The company achieved positive adjusted EBITDA in 2023 and reported RMB 54.14 million (US$7.5 million) for the first half of 2025, more than double the full-year 2024 figure. Adjusted EBITDA grew 348.6% from 2023 to 2024.

Market Outlook and Growth Potential

The global AI-powered household robotics systems market expanded from RMB 2.2 billion (US$304 million) in 2022 to RMB 5.9 billion (US$815 million) in 2024, according to Frost & Sullivan. The research firm projects the market will reach RMB 70.7 billion (US$9.8 billion) by 2029, representing a compound annual growth rate of 64.2%.

Market penetration increased from 1.0% in 2022 to 2.3% in 2024 and is forecast to reach 16.2% by 2029, indicating substantial room for expansion as AI-powered household robotics transition from early adoption to mainstream acceptance.

OneRobotics' existing investor base includes XbotPark and Brizan Ventures—backed by professors Li Zexiang, Gao Bingqiang, and Gan Jie—as well as GL Ventures, Source Code Capital, Ventech China, Fortune Venture Capital, and SDIC Innovation.
