Beijing Robotics Firm Secures Hundreds of Millions in Series A Funding for Dexterous Hand Production
Linkerbot Technology, a Beijing-based developer of robotic hands for embodied intelligence, has announced the completion of a Series A funding round worth several hundred million yuan (equivalent to tens of millions of U.S. dollars).
The round was led by Jingguo Rui Management Co. and Bojia Capital. It also attracted a consortium of investors including Guozhong Capital, Dioo Microcircuits, Zifeng Capital, Shanzheng Investment, Jiangjin Zhuoyue Fund, and Hongyi Fund. Existing shareholder Ant Group also increased its investment.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to upgrade its mass production capabilities, accelerate its research and development across various applications, and support its global expansion efforts. Linkerbot, founded in 2018, claims to be the only company in the world that has achieved mass production of high-dexterity robotic hands at a scale of over one thousand units per month.
Linkerbot’s core strategy centers on its "Dexterous Hand + Cloud Brain" approach, building a full-stack, proprietary system. The company's flagship product, the Linker Hand series, covers a range of drive technologies and specifications. Models feature up to 42 degrees of freedom (DOF) and are designed for tasks from advanced research to industrial automation. The company stated that prices for some models start as low as RMB 6,666 yuan (US$920), aiming to broaden accessibility. Linkerbot claims its products currently command over 80% of the global market for high-dexterity robotic hands.
To complement its hardware, the company developed Open TeleDex, a modular teleoperation system. The platform is designed with a "Triple-Any" open architecture, allowing it to be compatible with any external control device, robotic arm, or dexterous hand. This enables users to create "plug-and-play" workstations for remote operation and data acquisition with sub-100-millisecond latency.
Linkerbot's technology is currently used by over 100 clients, including academic institutions like Stanford University, the University of Cambridge, and Tsinghua University, as well as major corporations such as Foxconn Technology, Midea, ZTE, and Honor.
