Chinese Robot Hand Maker Linkerbot Secures Series A+ Funding as Monthly Orders Top 1,000
Linkerbot, a Chinese developer of dexterous hands for embodied artificial intelligence, has raised hundreds of millions of yuan in a Series A+ financing round, according to a report by Intelligent Emergence. This marks the company's fourth successful capital injection within an eight-month period, highlighting strong investor interest in the robotics component sector.
The latest round includes participation from a diverse group of backers, including Zhejiang Innovation Investment, CDH Investments’ Baifu, and Leju Robotics, alongside listed companies such as Dongfang Precision and Aux. The company’s shareholder list also features heavyweight early investors like Ant Group and Sequoia China Seed Fund.
As the embodied AI industry scales, Linkerbot has seen its commercialization accelerate. Founder and CTO Zhou Yong revealed that monthly orders have surpassed 1,000 units. The company currently serves clients in scientific research, humanoid robotics, and industrial sectors, with a global customer base that reportedly includes Samsung Electronics and Siemens AG. Linkerbot claims its high-degree-of-freedom dexterous hands now command over 80% of the global market share in that niche.
To address the "world-class challenge" of mass-producing complex robotic hands, Linkerbot has adopted a full-stack self-research strategy. By developing its own core components—including reduction gears, motors, and electric cylinders—the company aims to control costs and ensure supply chain stability. Linkerbot currently operates four subsidiary factories with a monthly production capacity exceeding 4,000 units. The company targets delivering between 50,000 and 100,000 units over the next year (2025).
The company’s product strategy emphasizes a broad price range to drive adoption. Its industrial-grade Linker Hand L6 is priced at RMB 19,900 yuan (approx. US2,745). The extensive lineup also includes the entry−level LinkerHandO6, which offers a lite version for RMB 3,999 yuan after subsidies, and the high-end L30 model, capable of precision medical tasks, priced at RMB 99,900 yuan (approx. US$13,780).
Beyond hardware, Linkerbot is expanding its software ecosystem to compete with potential tech giants entering the space. The company has launched Open TeleDex, a modular teleoperation system, and LinkerSkillNet, a data collection system designed to build a massive library of human hand skills. Zhou emphasized that accumulating data from "one million hands" in real-world scenarios is critical for achieving autonomous robotic evolution.
