UBTECH Robotics Secures Record RMB 264 Million Contract to Deploy Humanoid Robots

UBTECH Robotics has won a government tender worth RMB 264 million (US$36.4 million) to supply humanoid robots and related services in Fangchenggang, Guangxi province. The deal represents the largest single order value for the company to date, surpassing a previous RMB 250 million contract secured in September.

The project focuses on the establishment of a humanoid robot data collection and testing center, alongside an artificial intelligence education initiative. The primary hardware deployed will be the Walker S2, the company's latest industrial humanoid robot featuring autonomous battery-swapping capabilities. According to the tender details, these robots will be utilized for passenger guidance and security patrols at border crossings, logistics support, and facility inspections at large-scale steel, copper, and aluminum manufacturing bases. Delivery for the project is scheduled for December.

With the conclusion of this agreement, total orders for the Walker series in 2025 have reached approximately RMB 1.1 billion. This figure accounts specifically for the company's industrial humanoid line and excludes contracts for its educational and smaller-scale robotic products.

Operationally, the company accelerated its commercial deployment in mid-November, initiating mass production and delivery of the Walker S2. Hundreds of units have since been integrated into industrial workflows, covering sectors such as automotive manufacturing, smart logistics, and data center management.

The contract announcement follows the inclusion of UBTECH in the MSCI China Index on November 24. The stock saw elevated activity on the day of inclusion, recording a total trading volume of HK$3.1 billion, with significant activity occurring during post-market trading.
