Leju Robotics and Dongfang Precision Launch “Super Factory” for Humanoid Robots
Leju Robotics and Dongfang Precision have started operations of what they describe as the world’s first 10,000-unit-class automated production line for humanoid robots in Guangdong, a move that signals a step-change in the industry’s ability to scale manufacturing to meet rising order demand.
The new line—built jointly by Leju Robot and Dongfang Precision—integrates 24 precision assembly processes, 77 inspection items and 41 automated tests. The companies said the line can deliver one humanoid robot every 30 minutes and is designed for annual capacity above 10,000 units, with what they called “automotive-grade” delivery consistency.
The production system also introduces a “high-elasticity” final assembly line and a digital management platform that uses AI for real-time scheduling and process analysis. The partners said the factory is designed with “self-evolution” capabilities, reflecting a push toward more adaptive, data-driven production as product volumes rise.
The ramp-up highlights how industrial-scale demand is increasingly shaping the trajectory of humanoid robots. Leju said it delivered several thousand units of its “Kuafu” humanoid robot in 2025, with deployments expanding from research and education toward commercial and industrial scenarios. The company cited regular use on FAW production lines and in warehouses operated by Haichen Logistics, positioning humanoid robots as operational tools rather than pilot prototypes.
The broader market is also moving quickly through successive production milestones. Industry output has progressed from hundreds of units in 2024 to thousands in 2025, with the shift to 10,000-unit annual capacity emerging in 2026—an acceleration that underscores how manufacturing throughput and quality control are becoming decisive competitive factors. A Morgan Stanley report forecast the global humanoid robot market could exceed US$5 trillion by 2050.
The Guangdong line is being framed as a defining manufacturing inflection point for the sector—an industrial “super factory” moment that supporters say could help translate fast-growing interest into repeatable delivery at scale.
