Link-touch Secures Series C Funding Led by Sequoia China to Scale Humanoid Robot Sensor Production
Link-touch, a Chinese developer of tactile sensors for intelligent robots, has raised over RMB 100 million yuan (US$13.8 million) in its Series C financing round. The investment was led by Sequoia China, with participation from Zhuhai Technology Industry Group. This marks the company’s second financing round exceeding 100 million yuan within the last three months.
Founded in 2019, Link-touch specializes in force control technology, a critical component for robotic dexterity and interaction. The capital injection will be allocated to product research and development, capacity expansion, team building, and international market penetration.
The company has established a dominant position in the domestic supply chain. In 2025, Link-touch’s shipment of six-axis force sensors exceeded 10,000 units, capturing approximately 80% of the domestic market for humanoid robots. Furthermore, shipments of its joint torque sensors surpassed 100,000 units, accounting for more than 95% of the total domestic volume. Driven by the surging sector, the company has reported doubling its sales revenue for three consecutive years.
Link-touch currently serves a diverse client base, including prominent industry players such as Agibot, Xiaomi Robotics, and UBTECH. The company claims its core sensors achieve high-precision benchmarks that rival international competitors, breaking previous reliance on foreign technology.
To meet rising demand, Link-touch has launched a new production facility in Guangdong covering approximately 10,000 square meters. Founder Liu Wuyue stated that the site features the country’s first dedicated automated production line for robotic force sensors. The facility is designed for an impressive annual capacity of 1 million joint torque sensors and 200,000 six-axis force sensors, representing a three- to four-fold increase in overall production capabilities.
The investment comes as the commercialization of humanoid robots accelerates significantly. Industry projections estimate that commercial shipments of humanoid robots in China will rise from approximately 2,000 units in 2024 to around 10,000 units in 2025. Force sensors, which account for roughly 15% of a humanoid robot's bill of materials, are central to this growth.
Looking forward, Link-touch intends to leverage Sequoia China’s global resources to expand its footprint in Europe, where it has already established a preliminary market presence. By combining domestic supply chain advantages with rapid iteration cycles, the company aims to deliver next-generation sensor solutions to the global market.
