OPPO's Next-Gen Foldable Find N6 Expected to Launch in Q1 2025 with Snapdragon 8 Elite 5, Supply Chain Sources Say

OPPO Find Co., Ltd. (OPPO) is reportedly accelerating production of its upcoming large-format foldable smartphone, aiming to be the first device powered by Qualcomm's next-generation flagship chipset, according to recent supply chain reports.

According to information published by Chinese tech blog andy's Digital Diary on December 7, 2024, supply chain sources indicate that core components for the Find N6 have entered mass production, with the company targeting a first-quarter 2025 launch.

The Find N6 is expected to feature Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 processor and maintain OPPO's focus on ultra-thin design while significantly upgrading battery capacity and camera capabilities. The book-style foldable device will reportedly sport an 8.1-inch internal display and a 6.6-inch external screen, while housing a battery exceeding 6,000mAh capacity—a substantial increase from previous models. The engineering samples suggest a thickness under 9mm when folded, comparable to conventional flagship smartphones.

Camera specifications reportedly include a 50-megapixel Sony main sensor with a large image sensor, a periscope telephoto lens supporting 3x optical zoom, and a multispectral sensor for enhanced color accuracy. The device is also expected to feature side-mounted fingerprint recognition, wireless charging, and high-level water resistance.

The timing positions OPPO to potentially claim the title of first major foldable smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite 5, which industry observers view as Qualcomm's primary flagship offering for 2025. The new chipset is anticipated to deliver improved CPU and GPU architectures with better power efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, addressing critical concerns for foldable devices where thermal management and battery life remain challenging.

OPPO's Find N5, launched in early 2025, established the foundation for this approach by achieving approximately 8.93mm thickness while incorporating a 5,600mAh silicon-carbon anode battery. That model's titanium alloy hinge system, manufactured through 3D printing with components as thin as 0.15mm, reduced overall hinge thickness by 26% while increasing structural strength by 36%.

Building on this engineering framework, Find N6 reportedly aims to increase battery capacity while maintaining the sub-9mm thickness target through advanced mainboard stacking, optimized thermal materials, and refined internal space utilization.

OPPO has not officially confirmed specifications or launch timing for the Find N6. The OPPO Watch X3 smartwatch is also expected to debut alongside the smartphone at the same launch event.
