OPPO Unveils Find X9 Series with 4K Live Photo Technology
OPPO is set to launch its Find X9 flagship smartphone series on October 16, featuring what the company calls "direct 4K ultra-clear live photos" technology powered by MediaTek's newly announced Dimensity 9500 chipset.
Zhou Yibao, head of OPPO's Find series products, revealed that the entire Find X9 lineup will debut this enhanced live photo capability, representing a 400% improvement over traditional live photo formats. Users can capture high-resolution cover images alongside three seconds of 4K video content through the device's Hasselblad ultra-clear mode.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has partnered with social media platform Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) to enable seamless sharing of these 4K live photos, allowing content to display in ultra-high definition on the platform.
The Find X9 series will comprise standard and Pro variants. The standard model features a 6.59-inch 1.5K LIPO flat display with uniform bezels, while the Pro version offers a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO 2.5D screen incorporating curved corners and LIPO quad-narrow bezel technology.
Both devices will launch with MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 flagship processor and include standardized color restoration lenses. The standard model incorporates a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with macro capabilities, while the Pro version upgrades to a 200-megapixel periscope system.
Battery improvements mark a significant enhancement for the series. The Pro model maintains its 8.25mm slim profile while increasing battery capacity by over 1,500mAh compared to its predecessor. The standard version preserves a 7.9mm thickness while adding 1,000mAh of battery capacity.
MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity 9500 chipset last week, highlighting advances in on-device artificial intelligence, professional imaging, gaming performance, and network connectivity. The platform is expected to power multiple flagship devices beyond OPPO's offerings.
The Find X9 series represents OPPO's latest effort to differentiate its premium smartphones through camera technology, building on the company's partnership with camera manufacturer Hasselblad to enhance mobile photography capabilities.
