Xiaomi 17 Ultra Camera Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch

Xiaomi has provided fresh details about its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which is expected to launch before the Chinese New Year, according to reports from technology media outlet XiaomiTime.

The device, codenamed "Nezha," will feature a quad-camera system with specifications that include a 50-megapixel OVX10500U primary sensor, a 200-megapixel S5KHPE telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera using either an OV50M or S5KJN5 sensor. The front-facing camera will also offer 50 megapixels with an OV50M sensor.

The camera module will maintain the centered circular design featured in previous models. Testing data revealed multiple sensor configurations were evaluated before the final selection.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will incorporate the same display technology as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which the company claims delivers 2K-level visual quality with power consumption lower than 1.5K displays. The screen features 9.38 million sub-pixels and uniform bezels that are narrower than Apple Inc.'s iPhone models.

The device will run on Qualcomm Inc.'s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, potentially making it the first ultra-premium flagship to feature this processor. Battery capacity will range between 6,000 and 7,000 mAh, with wireless charging capability and full waterproofing. Additional features include UWB antenna technology for precise car unlocking and dual-satellite communication support in the top-tier variant.

The Xiaomi 17 series, comprising the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, launched on September 26, earlier than previous generations, and received positive market reception.
