China’s Lisuan to Launch 6nm Gaming GPU on March 12, Targeting NVIDIA RTX

China’s Lisuan plans to introduce its G100 graphics processing unit for gamers on March 12, setting up the latest attempt by a domestic chip developer to challenge Nvidia ’s consumer GPU lineup.

The company will showcase its Lisuan eXtreme (LX) series graphics cards at an exhibition, according to CHEAA.com. The products are described as the result of four years of development and have now entered mass production. They are based on the 7G100 rendering-and-inference integrated GPU built on Lisuan’s self-developed TrueGPU “Tiantu” architecture, and are designed for PCs, workstations and servers, spanning professional and consumer edge GPU markets. CHEAA.com added that the chip is positioned to deliver smooth gameplay while also supporting mainstream open-source large language models.

MyDrivers reported that in late 2025, Lisuan’s 7G100 GPU completed its first batch of order deliveries, with some customers receiving small quantities and beginning deployment. The chip is said to be manufactured using Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s 6-nanometer process.

Supporters have framed Lisuan’s approach as notable within China’s broader semiconductor push. Fuyou Xiaoji, writing on Xueqiu, said the company has pursued “full-stack” self-development from the instruction set to the computing core, rather than relying on licensed intellectual property and assembly—an approach the post contrasted with other domestic GPU makers.

Still, performance expectations are likely to be a key market test. MyDrivers said Lisuan is positioning G100 as China’s first domestically developed 6nm GPU for high-performance graphics rendering and AI acceleration, with performance claimed to be comparable to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 series. However, the same outlet noted that Geekbench entries for the Lisuan 7G100 series—showing 32 compute units and 256MB of VRAM—suggest performance closer to older products such as Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 660 Ti and AMD’s Radeon R9 370.

Supply-chain constraints could also shape the commercial impact. Fuyou Xiaoji said fully featured GPUs depend on high-bandwidth memory, and while the 7G100’s reported 384GB/s bandwidth is among the highest in China, it remains well below the 1.8TB/s cited for Nvidia’s H200. With global HBM capacity dominated by Samsung Electronics Co. and SK hynix Inc. and China’s domestic substitution rate below 10%, Lisuan may need to compete with international chipmakers for limited HBM supply—raising uncertainty over how quickly it can scale beyond early shipments.
