Huawei's Upcoming Mate 80 Series Tipped to Feature New Color Options

Huawei is reportedly preparing to launch its Mate 80 flagship smartphone series, with industry leaks suggesting a refreshed color palette for its 2025 lineup. The new options appear to move beyond the company’s standard black and white variants, focusing on new metallic and iridescent finishes.

According to the reports, the standard Mate 80 model is expected to be available in Obsidian Black, Snowy White, and Spruce Green. This suggests the potential discontinuation of the purple variant that was offered in the previous generation for the base model.

The premium models, including the Mate 80 Pro and RS Ultimate Design, are rumored to feature a wider range of colors. The anticipated options include Obsidian Black, Snowy White, Polar Silver, and new additions such as Morning Gold, Aurora Blue, and Hibiscus Purple.

The introduction of multiple gold-toned options, including Morning Gold and Extreme Day Gold, indicates a potential strategic focus on this color for Huawei's high-end devices in 2025, echoing color schemes seen in the company's Pura and Nova series this year.

A related leak also pointed to a potential "Air" model within the Mate 80 series. This device is rumored to feature a silver and gold color combination and is reportedly slated for an early November launch, though official confirmation remains pending. The launch will position the Mate 80 series in a competitive market against other major flagship smartphones released in 2025.
