Agibot Set to Launch Leasing Platform to Accelerate Humanoid Robot Commercialization
Agibot is poised to disrupt the humanoid robotics market with the launch of its "Qingtianzu" leasing platform on December 22. The initiative aims to lower the barrier to entry for commercial deployment, shifting the consumption model from high-capital purchases to flexible rentals.
The strategic pivot follows a production milestone, with Agibot’s 5,000th Lingxi X2 general-purpose embodied robot recently rolling off the line. This volume indicates that mass delivery capabilities are now established, addressing previous supply constraints in the sector.
Pricing dynamics have shifted rapidly this year. While daily rental rates for humanoid robots reached RMB 10,000 (US$1,378) in early 2025, costs for basic models have since contracted to approximately RMB 3,000. Further price reductions are anticipated as economies of scale take effect, potentially widening the user base.
Market projections underscore the sector's growth trajectory. IDC forecasts that user spending on embodied intelligent robots in China will exceed US1.4 billion in 2025. By 2030, this figure is expected to surge to US77 billion, representing a compound annual growth rate of 94%.
Key supply chain partners are integral to Agibot’s expansion. Mianyang Fulin Precision is developing smart electric joints, integrating reducers and motors. Lens Technology, a leader in consumer electronics glass, is focusing on whole-machine assembly and functional modules.
Production and development rely heavily on strategic alliances. Ningbo Huaxiang Electronic serves as the body OEM, while Ningbo Joyson Intelligent Equipment has established a joint venture with Agibot for R&D, production, and sales.
In the precision component sector, Leader Harmonious Drive Systems supplies proprietary harmonic reducers, while Ningbo Zhongda Leader Intelligent Transmission provides planetary reducers in bulk.
Sensing technology is bolstered by Ningbo Joyson Electronic, which supplies IMUs and six-dimensional force sensors. Additionally, iSoftStone Information has formed a strategic partnership with Agibot to co-develop the "embodied intelligence" technical system through a new joint entity.
