Recent industry reports indicate that the upcoming Nova 15 smartphone lineup from Huawei may see a retail price increase compared to its predecessors. The anticipated adjustment is reportedly driven by specific hardware component costs rather than aesthetic design changes.

According to a report published by the technology news outlet Huawei Central on December 19, 2025, information from digital tipsters suggests that the new series will face upward pricing pressure, particularly affecting the high-end variants of the device.

The report identifies internal storage costs as the primary factor influencing the potential price hike. While the standard models are expected to feature 256GB and 512GB storage options, the Nova 15 Ultra will introduce a 1TB variant alongside the smaller capacities. Sources cited in the report claim this expanded storage capability on the Ultra model is the main driver for the projected cost increase, differentiating it from the rest of the lineup.

Market observers are drawing comparisons to the previous generation to gauge the potential pricing structure. The 1TB version of the Nova 14 Ultra was priced at approximately RMB 4,999 yuan (US$688).
