Redmi K90 Series to Launch Today with Premium Design and High-End Specifications
Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi is set to unveil its K90 smartphone series later today on October 23, featuring two models: the standard Redmi K90 and the K90 Pro Max. The company has released comprehensive design renders of the standard K90 model ahead of the launch event.
According to official images released by Redmi, the K90 will feature a 6.59-inch OLED flat display with 2K resolution and a 94% screen-to-body ratio. The device adopts a uniform bezel design for enhanced visual symmetry. The smartphone will be available in at least two color options: a light purple with low saturation and classic white.
The rear panel showcases a large rectangular camera module housing three lenses, with "Sound by Bose" branding displayed on the side, indicating audio collaboration with the American audio manufacturer. The device incorporates a wraparound metal frame with color-matched symmetrical antenna bands. Redmi officials claim the K90 represents "the most refined standard K-series model in Redmi's history."
Under the hood, the K90 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The camera system will reportedly include a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside a periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and macro photography capabilities.
Battery capacity is rumored to reach 7,100mAh using silicon-carbon anode technology, supported by 100W wired fast charging. The device will also feature Bose-tuned audio, matching the Pro Max variant, to enhance gaming and multimedia experiences.
The Redmi K90 series launch event is scheduled to take place later today, as the company positions the devices in the competitive mid-to-premium smartphone segment.
