Ubtech Lands New Robot Deal, Pushing Total Orders to Nearly $60 Million

Ubtech Robotics Corp Ltd. has further solidified its position in the industrial humanoid robot market, securing a new order that brings the total contract value for its flagship Walker series to nearly RMB 430 million and signals accelerating commercial adoption in China’s advanced manufacturing sector.

The company’s intelligent logistics subsidiary, UQI, signed a procurement contract with Tianqi Automobile Engineering Co., Ltd. for its Walker S industrial humanoid robots, valued at RMB 30 million yuan (US$4.2 million). The deal underscores the growing demand for robotic automation in industrial settings.

This new order is scheduled for delivery by December 31, 2025. The contract lifts the total cumulative orders for Ubtech’s Walker series robots to nearly RMB 430 million. This figure includes a landmark RMB 250 million contract from another domestic enterprise in September, which stands as the largest single order in the global humanoid robot industry to date.

The steady flow of contracts highlights the increasing commercial viability of humanoid robots in real-world applications. For investors, Ubtech’s growing order book demonstrates tangible progress in monetizing its technology and capturing market share in the nascent but rapidly expanding field of industrial robotics.

Strategic Alliance Drives Adoption

The latest order stems from a long-term strategic partnership between Ubtech and Tianqi Automobile Engineering, established in June 2023. The alliance is focused on co-developing and deploying humanoid robot solutions for industrial scenarios, including new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturing, 3C electronics, and smart logistics. This collaboration aims to leverage both companies' resources to innovate and implement full-cycle solutions, accelerating the integration of humanoid robots into high-end manufacturing.

Orders Underscore Commercial Viability

Ubtech's total order value of nearly RMB 430 million for its Walker series provides a clear indicator of its commercial momentum. This total is comprised of the new RMB 30 million contract with Tianqi, the record RMB 250 million order secured in September, and a nearly RMB 50 million order that was delivered in the first half of 2025. This cumulative figure does not include orders for the company’s full-size research and education robot, Tiangong.

Expanding Footprint in Advanced Manufacturing

Ubtech reports that its industrial humanoid robot, the Walker S, is currently in training at more factory sites globally than any competitor. The company is actively collaborating with a roster of prominent enterprises across China’s industrial landscape. Key partners include leading firms in NEV manufacturing such as BYD, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, Geely Auto, and divisions of FAW-Volkswagen and Audi-FAW. Its robots are also being deployed in the 3C manufacturing and logistics sectors with partners like Foxconn and SF Express.

Focus on Scaling Production

Looking ahead, Ubtech has stated its commitment to enhancing the mass production capabilities of the Walker robot series. The company’s strategic focus is on scaling up its manufacturing capacity to meet the growing pipeline of customer orders. This will be critical for accelerating the widespread deployment of humanoid robots from pilot programs into essential roles within real-world factory and warehouse environments.
