Unitree to Launch Taller Humanoid Robot as China's Robotics Sector Surges

Unitree Technology plans to release a 1.8-meter tall humanoid robot in the second half of 2025, according to its founder and CEO Wang Xingxing, as the country's intelligent robotics sector experiences rapid growth.

Speaking at the Fourth Global Digital Trade Expo on September 26, Wang said that China's smart robotics-related companies posted an average growth rate of 50% to 100% in the first half of 2025.

Wang highlighted that Unitree's robot algorithms have undergone several iterations this year. A recent update, which the company calls an "anti-gravity mode," has significantly improved the robot's stability. “Basically, the robot can recover its standing position from any disturbance,” he stated.

Following the algorithm upgrade, the robot can theoretically perform a variety of dance and martial arts movements, Wang added.
